Please consider the ability to set separate styles for in-site and external links. in-site links are those that will keep the user within the current web-site, while external links will take the user to some other web-site altogether.

I'd like to be able to use icons from https://fontawesome.com/v5.15/icons?d=gallery&p=2 as icons in tabs and in the sidebar. The use case for this is marking the documentation for a specific OS with the logo of that OS.

It would be great if visitors could leave comments in the end of a document or blog. I guess, to achieve this, we also need an authentication system...

At the bottom of every GitBook doc page, there's a feedback widget that users can use to provide feedback to the docs maintainers about the page. The traditional way of opening an issue/pull request is usually too troublesome. This feedback widget could be a frictionless way of getting feedback on docs. Users would have to be in-charge of finding their own back ends for feedback storage or simply leverage on their analytics solution. Example: https://docs.gitbook.com/content-editing/pages-structure

For projects which have multiple stable versions it would be useful to have a different or custom banner. For example, we have a master branch for the next version of our project, 1-2 stable versions, and 1-2 versions in security support. We would like the ability to mark these with relevant banners as the existing criteria do not much.

If there isn't a way to do that already, please add an option to hide specific docs from the autogenerated sidebar through front matter or _category.json_ (instead of having to define the sidebar manually).

Using @ material-ui/styles on the server side requires additional processing, and the converted style needs to be entered into the html string.

Currently only blog content supports authors, however it would be useful if the docs/guides section was able to display authors as well. This way external editors of a page would be able to have their name publicly displayed.

The navbar currently supports setting the 'target' for internal and external links. E.g. target: '_blank' It would be nice for the sidebars to also be able to set the 'target' for links. My use case needs this feature so I can link to static html content within the site (stored in the 'static' directory).
